“A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices” — a line from that famous Christmas carol “O Holy Night”.
This year we have truly witnessed God’s hope descend on the weary world in the Philippines. Because of your consistent prayers and support, numerous families on the islands of Boracay and Panay have faithfully received the message of God’s love through our dedicated staff.
This year more funding has gone to feed the numerous families who lost their incomes because of the island lockdowns.
We believe that increasing our generosity has opened more ears to hear . . .
and hearts to receive the hope of Jesus.
Each week Christ’s message is shared . . .
and celebrated!
This year families were gifted with more Bibles in their Tagalog language.
And “a thrill of Hope” is demonstrated with changed lives baptized in the ocean of God’s love and grace.
Isn’t it comforting to know that God sees your heart and infinitely thinks and cares about you?
“How precious are your thoughts about me, O God –
they outnumber the grains of sand!” Psalm 139
Several months ago the First Love leadership asked us to pray about expanding our ministry and becoming the Directors of Member Care for our organization. This means we will still continue our ministry to the Filipinos, but now we’ll also mentor and encourage our missionaries represented in twelve other countries. God has enlarged our hearts, and we are enjoying this ministry opportunity.
“Truly he taught us to love one another . . .”
May God continue to soften all our hearts as we share “a thrill of Hope” to neighbors and nations.
The needs are great and we truly need your prayers and support as God expands this ministry and mission.
Merry Christmas from our hearts to yours,
